About me
I’m a psychodynamic psychotherapist and counsellor, working with adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or weighed down by experiences that are hard to make sense of.
My clinical work is rooted in relational and trauma‑informed practice.
I offer a steady, reflective space where you can explore what feels painful, confusing, or difficult to carry alone.
I’m particularly interested in how early relationships shape our sense of self and how therapy can help us reconnect with parts of ourselves that have felt lost or silenced.
How I work
My approach is warm, collaborative and non‑judgmental. I believe that the patterns we struggle with in the present often have their roots in earlier relationships and experiences. When we explore these with compassion and curiosity — rather than shame or self‑criticism — it becomes possible to understand why they developed, how they protected us, and how they continue to shape our lives.
The therapeutic relationship is central to this process. I offer a containing environment where you can speak freely, feel supported, and begin approaching your past at a pace that feels safe. Over time, therapy can help you feel more grounded, more connected to yourself, and better able to navigate your relationships and inner world.
What I can help with:
You might know exactly what brings you to therapy, or things may feel unclear. I have personal and clinical experience with a wide range of presentations, including (but not limited to):
◦ Suicidality
◦ Complex trauma
◦ Single‑event trauma
◦ Depression
◦ Self‑harm
◦ Existential crisis
◦ Abuse
◦ People‑pleasing or controlling tendencies
◦ Difficult childhood experiences
◦ Overwhelming feelings such as hopelessness, despair, or numbness
You may recognise yourself in one or more of these, or it may be something different entirely. Therapy doesn’t require you to have the right words — we can explore things together.
Training, qualifications and experience
I hold a PGDip in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from the University of Brighton and am currently completing an MSc in Psychotherapy, with a focus on relational and systemic approaches. Prior to this, I completed a Level 6 Certificate in Counselling CPD and hold a BSc in Psychology from Royal Holloway, University of London.
I have worked with a diverse range of clients in both charitable and private settings, and I currently work full‑time with individual adults at the Rock Clinic in Brighton as well as in my private practice in Heathfield, East Sussex. I’m registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within their ethical framework.
Alongside my clinical work, I’m developing writing that explores internal worlds, early relational patterns, and the emergence of the self — themes that also inform my therapeutic practice.
I undertake frequent training and attend regular supervision to ensure my work remains safe, reflective, and grounded in best practice.
